These Deer Lake Farmstead photos show the park as it actually is — no wide-angle tricks, no borrowed stock shots of somebody else’s lake.
Deer Lake Farmstead Photos: What the Park Really Looks Like
These Deer Lake Farmstead photos are the park as it actually is — extra-large sites with room between them, the T-dock on quiet Deer Lake, farm fields behind the property, and the clubhouse where people end up on a cool evening. No wide-angle tricks, no borrowed stock shots of somebody else’s lake.
What the pictures tend to show that words do not: how much space is around each site, and how quiet the water looks. Deer Lake is non-motorized, so the surface stays flat most mornings.

What These Photos Show
Two things tend to surprise people. The first is space. At 4,800+ square feet, the sites have real room around them, and the photos make the gaps between neighbors obvious in a way a description does not. The second is the water. Deer Lake is non-motorized, so the surface is usually flat — those calm mornings are not a lucky shot, they are most mornings.
You will also see the T-dock, the clubhouse, the community fire ring, and the farm fields that sit behind the property. Mille Lacs does not appear in most of these pictures, which is rather the point: the big lake is less than a mile away, but you cannot hear it from your site.
